DEUT1445 If the only way to save someone's life is to kill his pursuer, we are obligated to do so. We are commanded to save someone who is being pursued even at the cost of the life of the pursuer. When it is possible to prevent the pursuer from murder by merely injuring him, it is obligatory to do so.
